What should I bring to the first conversation?
A short description of the problem, the people affected, and the outcome you want is enough to begin. If you have them, include a workflow example and the names of the systems involved. Share sensitive records only through an agreed channel when they are needed.
Do I need a complete specification?
You can start with an operational problem. Discovery helps identify the workflow, boundaries and assumptions before a build is scoped. If you already have a brief, the first step is to review it and identify any missing decisions.
How are scope, timing and cost agreed?
They depend on the systems, access requirements and desired behaviour. We first define deliverables, assumptions, responsibilities and acceptance criteria. Any estimate or proposal should be reviewed against that scope. No price is fixed until a written scope is agreed.
Can a project begin with a small pilot?
A pilot is useful when a particular assumption needs testing, such as document quality for an assistant or the reliability of an integration. Its scope and evaluation criteria should be agreed before implementation, including which decisions the results will inform.
Can you work with the software we already use?
The first step is to review your existing systems, supported APIs, export formats and permissions. That establishes which integration paths are practical and what constraints remain. We favour supported connections and document any manual handoffs that the workflow still needs.
What is included in a handover?
The handover scope is agreed for the project. Typical items include configuration and deployment instructions, system and data-flow notes, validation results, known limitations, and operating responsibilities. For an integration, recovery procedures and service-account ownership also need to be clear.
Are the samples on this site client projects?
No. The sample dashboards, workflow patterns and demos use fictional data. They show how work is built and are not claims about client deployments or results. Client work is kept confidential unless the client agrees to be named.
How should sensitive information be handled?
We identify what data is needed and agree the access, retention and handling requirements before connecting a system. A prototype can often start with synthetic or redacted examples. Production access should use appropriate permissions and approved credential management. Please do not enter confidential information in the public demo.
Does an AI assistant need to answer every question?
Its useful scope should be defined and evaluated. A knowledge assistant needs authoritative sources, source references, access controls and a clear response when evidence is missing. Questions outside that scope should lead to an appropriate source or a human review rather than an invented answer.
What happens after a project launches?
Ownership and post-launch responsibilities should be agreed before release. A support engagement can cover a defined maintenance scope and improvement backlog. Coverage, response expectations and responsibilities depend on the specific system and are set out in the engagement.
